HOW TO MAKE SURE TO DRINK WATER REGULARLY:

Considering the great benefits of drinking water, it is important to make sure that we should take it necessarily. Many people forget that they have to consume enough water during their day. For that reason one must make water a part of the day and ensure to keep a water bottle all the time and make it a habit to take as much water as you can.

Another important thing is to make sure to take it sip by sip. Sipping water allows the body to absorb it slowly. Some people have the habit of gulping water in one go. This is absolutely not recommended as it will give you a bloated feeling and also it is not at all healthy to take a big quantity of water in one go.

SOME INTERESTING WATER FACTS:

  • An average person can consume almost three gallons of water a day. That makes it almost 48 cups.
  • Many foods like milk and fruits have high water content.
  • Water expands in freezing unlike other liquids.
  • A person who travels by air loses approximately 1.5 liters of water during a three hour flight.
  • Drinking too much of water can also cause damage to body and may result in hypothermia. As the sodium in the blood drops to a dangerously low level.
  • Water reduces the dangers of cysts by clearing out the bacteria in the bladder.

SOME MYTHS ABOUT WATER:

  • Drink eight glasses of water a day.

No one is sure who came up with this eight glass of water a day. The truth is you have to figure out yourself how much water you will be able to drink. Adjust your body slowly and increase your water intake while taking your time. Don’t put too much stress on compulsory eight glasses of water a day. Remember you don’t want to end up with a sick feeling at the end of the day.

  • Bottled water is better for you than a tap one.

The water that comes out of your tap contains nutrients like zinc, sodium, calcium and other minerals. All these nutrients stay in water even If it is a filtered one.

The bottled water is mostly good for those who are traveling or cannot get it directly from the tap.

  • Vitamin water is better for you than the plain one.

The water that is processed and an extra amount of added nutrients are not as beneficial for you as the natural one. In fact in vitamin water an extra amount of sugar is also added to make the taste better. There is however no comparison to the natural filtered water and the benefits it gives to you.

The benefits and healthy effects of drinking water cannot be denied. We must ensure a balanced amount of water intake during our day so that we can get the most advantage out of this habit of consuming an adequate amount of water.

Have fun drinking water and maintain a good health.

I like this hub but I would also like to see the harmful effects of certain chemicals that being placed into our drinking water supplies, due to the fact that water needs to be filtered out as you stated. Chemicals such a Florine, Chlorides, and other highly active chemical agents used for cleansing out harmful bacteria & germs in our drinking water supply, in many naturally occurring water systems.

I was an engineering student many years back and took some course on such things as fluid mechanics, environmental engineering and such, that's why I'm looking for more here, or anywhere else for that matter.

Other than that your hub on Water was superb, I find your writing to be truly awesome indeed, you have definitely raised the bar here, when it comes to technical writing, and detailed informative content.

Oh maybe even add some factual reference links to gain, more feedback from the search engines, that's the other thing I noticed here. Good luck Learner, I sense your writing ability is going to put you on the top here in due time, I just hope we all get a chance as well.

I'm pretty sure there's many more parameters, and factors at work on the web, besides just writing. Voted up on all levels, and getting shared outside of this awesome place known as hubpages.

CloudExplorer...Regarding the harmful effects of chemicals used to filter the water,i was thinking of doing a separate hub about that also.So someday you will also see that in my list of Hubs :)

Thank you for your further suggestions about adding extra links and your encouragement. I believe i am still in the process of learning many things and with time i will be trying my best to improve more.I really truly appreciate your feedback.Thank you so much !!!
